Two years ago she turned 13, and celebrated her birthday with a bright pink Ipod cake. It was such a fun and easy cake to do!! Here is a picture of her with it.... :)
The following year she turned 14 and wanted a frog birthday cake, she had seen a picture of one somewhere and had completely falling in love with it. I thought it was so random and adorable!! I love how this little flirty frog cake turned out, the little crown added a nice touch! We thought.
And this year she turned 15 years old! Such a milestone for her, she got her first cell phone and her Driving Permit. I can't hardly believe she's old enough to drive, a car, on the actual road. Crazy how time is flying by!! We celebrated her birthday with cupcakes and also I did my first topsy-turvy cake for her. It turned out really good, I think that next time I do one it will be a little easier because I'll actually know a little more about what I'm doing. This time it was just somewhat guessing and just doing. The finished result was really cute and everyone seemed to love it, especially the birthday girl! :)

I LOVE the topsy-turvy cake, it's adorable! And of course cupcakes are always yummy... it does seem so hard to believe that Melissa is a teenager, much less 15-years-old and driving! I can remember when she was born, so that's making me feel a little old... and I like to think that I'm still pretty young myself :)
ReplyDeleteIt makes me feel so old when I think about missy turning 15. ahh where does the time go? it seems like yesterday we were turning 15! haha. still LOVEEE the flirty frog cake, i think i might want him on my next birthday! and you did great on the topsy-turvy cake, i'm sure that was challenging, but you rocked it :)

I loved that flirty frog cake too Mallory, it's always been one of my favorites! I'll be glad to do you one on your next bday. It would be so fun!
